English Conversation Partner for AI Training

Babel Audio partners with leading technology companies to collect high-quality voice data that trains the next generation of AI. We work with thousands of participants worldwide to capture authentic human conversation, so that AI can better understand and communicate with humanity.

Role Description

In this role, you will participate in 15-minute recorded conversations with another person. Each conversation is unscripted and based on a topic you choose together.

For example, some topics you will talk about may look like:

• A personal experience that shaped your perspective
• A hobby or interest you've spent time exploring
• A challenge you've faced at work or in daily life
• Something you've changed your mind about over time

The focus is on having a clear, natural conversation: listening, responding, and building on each other's thoughts.

This is a fully remote, freelance position that offers complete flexibility in when and how much you work. We are currently looking for individuals based in the United States and Canada.

Compensation

• $17.50 per recorded hour
• Additional performance-based incentives may be available

Responsibilities

• Join 15-minute recorded conversations with a matched partner
• Choose a topic together and discuss it naturally
• Listen actively and respond with genuine interest
• Make sure your audio stays clear throughout each session

About You

• Fluent in English with clear speech
• Comfortable talking to new people
• Reliable and able to follow guidelines
• Able to maintain stable audio quality throughout recordings

Technical Requirements

• Laptop or desktop computer (tablets and phones not supported)
• External or USB microphone preferred for clear, natural audio
• Stable internet connection capable of supporting smooth calls
